Margarethe Krupp-Stiftung als 39. „Fahrradfreundlicher Arbeitgeber“ in Essen ausgezeichnet
Die Margarethe Krupp-Stiftung wurde im Frühjahr 2025 vom Allgemeinen Deutschen Fahrrad-Club (ADFC) mit dem Gold-Siegel als „Fahrradfreundlicher Arbeitgeber“ ausgezeichnet – der höchstmöglichen Stufe. Damit ist sie das 39. Unternehmen in Essen, das diese Auszeichnung erhält.
Die Stiftung bietet ihren Mitarbeitenden ein umfassendes Fahrradinfrastrukturangebot: Neben einem abschließbaren Fahrradraum mit chip-gesteuertem Zugang in der Tiefgarage stehen Diensträder, Helme, Duschen und Umkleiden zur Verfügung. Auch das Bikeleasing über JobRad wird bezuschusst. Oberbürgermeister Thomas Kufen gratulierte persönlich gemeinsam mit Vertreter*innen der Grünen Hauptstadt Agentur (GHA) und dem ADFC.
Seit der Grünen Hauptstadt Europas 2017 vergibt die Stadt Essen gemeinsam mit dem ADFC Auszeichnungen in Bronze, Silber und Gold an besonders fahrradfreundliche Unternehmen. Ziel ist es, nachhaltige Mobilität am Arbeitsplatz aktiv zu fördern.
